In short
- The problem
- Patients choose where to travel for treatment while unwell, usually on a phone, often for a relative — and the old structure answered the operator's questions, not theirs.
- What runs now
- A platform site built around the questions a patient asks first: this condition, this country, and who they speak to next.
The business
RightMed Global is a medical tourism operator based in Kumasi, Ghana. It connects patients in Africa to accredited hospitals in India, Turkey, Thailand and Germany, and also covers wellness screening, medical equipment, pharmaceutical supply and telemedicine.
The problem
A patient deciding where to travel for treatment is making a decision with a great deal riding on it, usually while unwell, often on a phone, and frequently on behalf of a relative. The site had to answer their questions in the order they actually ask them.
The hard part
The patient journey has several stages and 24/7 support behind it, but a first-time visitor does not want a process diagram. They want to know whether this organisation can help with their specific condition, in a country they are willing to travel to, and who they speak to next. Structuring the site around that question, rather than around the operator's internal stages, was the decision that mattered.
What was built
A platform website covering the service range, destination hospitals and the enquiry path.
